Ouch! That hurts! Remember the quick reaction we have when touching a hot surface - immediately we react.
It seems to me, the country is in a heightened state of reaction. Every topic, every area, every issue is a hot stove issue causing us to have an immediate reaction.
This is happening in the financial markets, as well. Today's news can cause the market to react with violent swings. It's possible these swings could be unfounded, unsubstantiated, and unmertied because once the news calms down and an understanding sets in, the next day the market has been recovering better than or equal to the loss from the day before. Ouch! That can hurt.
I am not a reactionary investor. I manage investments with patience, I try to apply wisdom instead of reactionary management.
We've had a great run in the market. Maybe we are at a pivotal moment. I'll observe, research and suggest adjustments as consistently - not reactionaryily - information presents.
Careful of hot surfaces - we don't want to get burned.
